I am a scientist with expertise in microbiome research, genomics (NGS sequencing and analysis) and microbial control technologies. In particular, I have extensive understanding of microbial communities, challenges and control strategies associated with the Oil & Gas industry. I also have a background in environmental science and chemical engineering which I have utilized in understanding processes that shape microbial communities and their functions. I have worked both in academia and industry focusing on fundamental research, product development, technology evaluation and business development in these areas.
I currently work at Exponent, a scientific consulting firm, specializing in issues related to microbiology, water quality and oil and gas operations. Here is a link to my bio, please reach out to me if you have consulting needs in these areas . Prior to joining Exponent, I was a Sr. R&D engineer at the Dow Chemical Company working on developing sustainable microbial control solutions for the energy and water markets.

I completed my PhD in environmental engineering from Carnegie Mellon University under the guidance of Dr.Kelvin Gregory. My thesis focused on the microbial ecology of flowback and produced water from hydraulic fracturing for shale gas production.
